Let God-Consciousness Be Your GPS

Last night I had a major breakthrough when I asked myself this simple question; How much would someone have to pay me for me to relinquish the inner-knowing I have of my highest self? How much would it cost for me to give up knowing my passion and purpose? The answer lead me to this…

Last night’s breakthrough is one that points to the over-arching message for all of my blog posts, which is, to lead you to your highest self. Up until this point I’ve chosen to gently portray the greater message through little bits and pieces in my blog posts. Hoping that one of the articles I’d write would lead you to embark on your own path of self-mastery. It’s like I’ve been writing small chapters and leaving them like bread crumbs for you to find the overarching message. Rather than leave you another bread crumb, or another chapter that may or may not resonate, I’m going to throw it all out on the table and share this with you, in the exact way it came to me.

We often characterize people as having god given ability or talent. This ability, talent or divine purpose is within all of us. I want you to go read (if you haven’t already) the article I wrote 2-3 weeks ago, The Ego vs Your Highest Self, and lets also use this as a starting point. And starting now, let’s take religious context of “god” out of the word. I liken anything we relate to “god” as unexplainable, or so deeply within us that the only explanation is that it was god given.

So, “god-consciousness” is the unexplainable truth that’s within all of us. The things that we feel pulled to, the deep passions we have, the art we make, the music we make or the stories we portray in our writing. God-consciousness is the action you take that you almost feel called to on a deep cellular level. It’s the thing you know deep down in your body that you want to be doing, but are more than likely afraid to do, or self-sabotaged your way out of believing you could do it.

Aaron Abke once mentioned, “let god-consciousness be your GPS.” At first, and probably like many of you right now, I thought to myself… What does that even mean?!? God-Consciousness be my GPS? I would often joke, when I’d talk about my life and how crazy it was over the last year basically bouncing all over the country. “I’m just gonna let god-consciousness be my gps,” as I’d shrug, laugh and go with the flow. It was funny because the concept seemed ridiculous to me. But it’s funny looking back on it now, because, that’s exactly what I was doing.

God-consciousness being your gps means, letting your highest self guide your life. Living in accordance with your highest self will mean you’re living a life perfectly aligned with your values. I always wanted to write, create, tell stories and share my experiences. The moment I started doing that, things in my life started happening. I started seeing signs, things that pointed me in certain directions that taught me deep lessons. But let’s ask a simple question about my specific experience; Was it my calling to quit my job, live outside for a year and have my heart chakra blown out of my chest at a summit in Sedona? And if so, why? The answer is, I have no idea. This is all so completely unexplainable. What I did do however, was remove resistance from my life and I just simply went with the flow in accordance to my highest self. I literally let god-consciousness be my gps. I picked up some nuggets along the way and I moved in the trajectory of things that clicked or made sense to me. One step after another, it’s lead me here.

My passion was writing, I’ve always wanted to share and create. So, is it my divine purpose to share this with you to awaken your sense of your highest self? I think so. Actually, I know so. And I know that living in accordance with my highest self is going to keep pushing me to learn more, to share more, and to continue building knowledge and wisdom of myself to share with you. I found the mirror to myself from the teachings of others and I intend on doing the same.

Now, I’m not telling you to quit your job and go live on a beach in Maui and just shout that it’s your highest self leading you in that direction, or, that god-consciousness was your gps. But I am telling you to find your passion. Right now, ask yourself at your core, what do you love doing? What are the things you could endlessly talk about? That’s probably your true passion. So pursue it! You owe it to your spouse, your kids, your parents, everyone who loves and supports you. It’s your duty to know your highest self. It’s no easy task finding it, though. You’re going to encounter plenty of road blocks, emotional turmoil and buried trauma along the way to finding your highest self. If it was easy, we’d all be living our divine purpose and the world would be a magical place.

Before I wrap this up, I’ve talked about polarity before, countless times. With that said, the antithesis of god-consciousness is stress, frustration or discontent in your life. This is more than likely a result of you not living the life that aligns with your highest self. This resistance of your highest self, or the unfulfilled capturing of your true desire or passion is the reason you seek to distract, medicate, or self sabotage yourself in other facets of your life. Oftentimes people describe themselves as being “lost.” Let’s also add this into the context of allowing god-consciousness to be your gps. If you were living in accordance with that context, you’d never be lost. Your highest self, your divine purpose is leading you in the perfect direction your life is supposed to be going.

Now, some of you may think this is completely ego-centric of me to say that I’ve found this and you haven’t…. But that’s not the place I’m coming from in this article. I’m not coming from a place of “I.” This article is written solely on the basis of “you.” It’s not to boost myself up, it’s to boost you up. The reason I know this isn’t egocentric spirituality is because I know that I’m not the one who can accomplish this for you. I’m here to be a beacon, a guide, but eventually it comes down to your own actions and your own self-mastery. Your knowing of your own divine purpose is your journey. The only thing “I” want to do, is make something click within any one of you that starts you down this path.

The funny thing about having this epiphany, is that it comes a day after writing an email blast praising myself for getting more sleep. I’m sitting here at 2:45 am pouring my heart into this article. Because this is it. This is the message I want to share with all of you. If you want direction in your life, find your highest self. If you want peace, find your highest self. If you want success, find your highest self. If you want to rid yourself of disease, depression, addiction, anxiety, stress, frustration… You have to find your highest self.

I’ll leave you with the final piece of this breakthrough I had when considering my own source of god-consciousness and the path I’ve been on as of late. I asked myself, what amount of money would someone have to offer me to erase my brain, erase my connection to my heart, or to erase my connection to my highest self or “god-consciousness.” And the answer is, there is no amount of money I’d take. If someone offered to write me a check for $20 million dollars right now for me to ignore my life’s passion and to return living a life steeped in stress, anxiety and a lack of self-worth and a life without direction, I wouldn’t take it. You couldn’t pay me enough. Here’s the main reason why… There’s only one person who has the ability or desire to write that check…

When you know the answer, you’ve found the polarity of forces that fight for your consciousness in every facet of your life. There isn’t a single person who has found their passion in life who would give it up for a specific price. If they would, then they haven’t truly found it.
