Romanticize Your Life

We’re about to make a shift from the tropical vibe of the Florida coast back to one of our favorite little mountain towns and spiritual epicenter, Sedona, AZ. The other night I was having a deep moment of reflection of my time here and I began to vividly daydream about the future. It was heavy enough for me, that I wanted to provide a reminder to romanticize your life. Find reverence in your lifestyle, in the small moments of your life that make you happy. When I thought about these changes that are upcoming, the mental imagery is so clear to me. There’s so much to be grateful for, and I hope that my perspective can help you implement these practices in your life as well.

I think that romanticizing the little things in your life and what makes your experience unique is how you find beauty in life. I allowed myself the time and space to let the experience of Florida resonate. The palm trees, the warmth, the sunshine, the beaches, the Spanish moss-laden oak trees that sprawl across sandy roads. I appreciate what Florida has manifested in my body. I’ve never felt as in tune physically as I am now. The energy associated with being near the crystal clear blue waters is transferred in abundance. The tropical flavor of Florida has given my soul so much vibrant energy. Surfing, running, yoga, and being outside under the sun has been imperative. I have spent countless late nights working and Florida has delivered the necessary energy boost to prevent me from losing my sanity. I got deep into the flow state. I’ll always have a soft spot for this time and place and what it means to me in my life’s story.

I’m very thankful for what Florida brought me. I’m also very excited to move on. That’s the best part about living nomadic. There’s always something new, fresh, exciting, and mildly scary about change, about a new perspective. Florida really enhanced the physical aspect of my life and Sedona has proven to be a place for spiritual growth. It’ll be time to reset and connect the physical form with spiritual expansion. I’m so excited about the community vibe of Sedona. If you haven’t been there, it’s indescribable. The first place where I really and truly felt a "collective vibration." I feel at home even though I barely know anybody. I daydream about the cool desert nights. I think about wearing hoodies, and sweatpants and sitting out under the stars at night. I think about the flavor of the southwest, the food, the drink, and how it echoes the natural landscape. I'm excited about afternoon hikes and the awe-inspiring red rock formations. It's so easy to romanticize this place given the culture and natural beauty of the landscape.

I know that nomadic life isn't super relatable. However, the processes I apply toward personal growth are easily adaptable. The philosophy is that change and action propel you to be a better version of yourself. To pursue growth, you must change your routines or your perspective. Be in touch with your physical body. Be aware of your state of mind. Let the natural world around you touch your soul. Get in touch with yourself and find romance in your existence. There are endless possibilities for appreciation and gratitude. Just take the time, make space for yourself to understand what’s important, and tap into that energy.

Happy Friday, everyone. Romanticize your weekend and the coming of fall. Thank you for following this journey and I can’t wait to keep sharing into the next chapter of life with you.

-Jay
